Taking place on May 3rd at The Forum within the University of Hertfordshire, the festival will be a first for the band, who look set to establish it as an annual event. As well as headline the festival, the band have curated the whole bill, booking bands they love, have played with before and that share a similar musical ethos and attitude. The event will also have volunteers from Amnesty International, PETA, and Emmaus providing information and a forum for debate and discussion.

Ourzone can exclusively reveal the identity of the new We Start Partys guitarist. Nathan Taylor (pictured left of photo) is very excited to have joined the band as he explains below:

Nathan: “I’m very happy to be joining and excited for what’s to come! When it was made clear to me that I was able to join the band I didn’t take much convincing and after meeting the guys and working with them it seemed to make perfect sense that it something I wanted to be a part of. I’m excited to start touring again and so far the new songs are starting to come together really well!”

The band are also looking forward to working with Nathan as frontman Ben Hawthorne explains below:

Ben: “We are literally excited as hell! For months we have been working on songs for our next EP, and its been a weird time for us. Not gigging, not travelling together, and missing a guitarist, its been hard! But now we have Nathan, everything slots together, and is a relief on our parts. We feel like a real band again!!”

Explains Hawthorne who believes 2012 a is big year for the Bristol quartet:

“2012 is a big year for us. We are basically aiming for bigger and better. Bigger live shows, bigger videos, bigger tours, everything just stepped up a notch, cranked to 11 shall we say! We are currently also in the midst of pushing ourselves to Asia for a Asia tour later this year, fingers crossed it will all come together smoothly! We really want to get out there! Going to be insane stuff!”

When asked if Nathan will change how the band work at all Ben felt it was ealry days, but had nothing but positives to say about their new member:

“It’s hard to tell at this point, as we haven’t hit the road or been in the studio, but we will tell soon enough! Our first live show with Nathan is at the Takedown festival in Southampton next march, its going to be insane!! And will be the first show Nathan will play with us! Please come and give him some support! In the way we work, he will help so much! Nathan has a great ear, and is a great songwriter, having him on board is going to be awesome. The songs we have worked on together so far are coming together great, so we look forward to working with him from here on out, and make this next E.P sound massive!”

Record Label: Holy Roar

With achingly brutal riffs, devastating percussion and damn near psychotic vocals, the only thing that listeners of Last Witness will be Mourning After is everything, because they have quite literally killed it with this eight track behemoth of a record.

It carves an image of destruction into your head as it ruthlessly careers through each track. ‘Disappearer’ is a big highlight and thanks to the filthiest of breakdown’s, it’s certain to become hugely popular with the pit hardened amongst us.

Mourning After is an exhausting listening experience which never lets up, but it can’t fail to leave you baying for more as closing track ‘Marionette’ slowly pounds on with repeated chants of “Walk away”. A fitting end to a record which leaves you feeling as though you picked a fight with a right nasty bastard and got beat up. Mourning After is the new benchmark in todays brutal hardcore scene.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am from Banquet Records

They have just posted the following on their Facebook page:

“NOT ADVISED IS DEAD. We’ve had the time of our lives in this band but have all decided that the time has come to move on. Thank you for everything.

We’ll be getting together next week to record a video message explaining the reasons why, which we will post on here.”

The band stated: “After much deliberation and careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that Jesse Leach has rejoined Killswitch Engage. Our job was to find the best person to fill Howard’s shoes: a decision based on talent and not familiarity.”
They continued:“Truth be told, Jesse blew us away in auditions. The room seemed charged with electricity. He commanded both new and old material, and proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he wanted to do this. The choice became very clear and apparent.”

Jesse himself also commented on his return to the band after a decade-long absence, saying: “It is a great honour to rejoin my brothers after all of these years. After some discussion and much reflection, it was obvious to me this was the path I was meant to take. We got together and jammed on the ‘Howard-era songs,’ as well as some Alive Or Just Breathing-era songs and we all felt the synergy.”
He continued: “I look forward to writing the new record, since the demos sound absolutely amazing, as well as breathing new life and getting comfortable with the soulful songs Howard has written. It is a new chapter of my life filled with new and exciting challenges. I will give all that I can to honour the position I have been given and take nothing for granted. I will sing every note with all of my soul. I am very blessed and very thankful to be back in the KsE family! All things happen in their due time and now is the time for this reunion and new direction.”

KsE remain hard at work on their latest album, which follows 2009′s second self-titled album.

Their debut full length album, produced by Mark Trombino and featuring Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 will be released in the UK in the summer of 2012.

They have now headed off as main support to one of the UK’s Young Guns.

After the release of their impressive debut single ‘The Doctor Called (Turns Out I’m Sick As F**k)’, we were very eager to hear what Decade would offer up with their new self titled EP.

Immediately you notice the conscious decision to cut down (but not eradicate) on the beat-downs and gang vocals that were ever present on their former releases. However, do not fear, they have not lost a single ounce of the passion and aggression that has always made you feel connected with their music. They have honed their craft; resulting in a fantastic British sound that will surely set them up for a successful 2012.

The lyrics are strong and meaningful throughout particularly on lead single ‘Never Enough’ as front man Alex Sears sings passionately about the passing of his Grandmother.
